ALTEA
ALCHEMY
About
A practice, not a product.
The Founder
Altea Alchemy was founded by Ty Stevenson: a former US Marine, CTO, and professional brewer, now a Reiki Level 1 practitioner, 200-hour yoga teacher trained in Rishikesh, India, and Ayurvedic practitioner. He serves English-speaking expats and retirees across the Costa Blanca, in person and online.
Ty Stevenson
At 17, Ty enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. The Corps taught him discipline, resilience, and a mission-first mindset that would carry through every chapter of his life.
After his service, he earned a degree in Business Administration from Sonoma State University, then chased a passion across continents, brewing professionally and consulting for breweries in over five countries. The craft taught him patience, alchemy, and the art of transformation through process.
A deeper calling led him to Rishikesh, India, where he completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. There, immersed in the source of the practice, he found what the brewery had hinted at: true transformation is not a product, it is a practice.
The esoteric had always been there. In 2021, Ty earned his Reiki Level 1 certification, opening the door to energy work. He completed the Awakening the Illuminated Heart workshop, a heart-opening course rooted in ancient sacred geometry and consciousness practices. For six years he has read tarot, studied the occult, philosophy, and metaphysics, and worked with crystals. For over ten years, he has read a book a week, over 300 books deep into non-fiction, many read multiple times over. Always drawn to the hidden architecture beneath the visible world.
A decade in technology as a CTO and founder followed, building systems, scaling teams, shipping products. But the ancient practices never left. In 2026, Ty brought it all together: the discipline of a Marine, the patience of a brewer, and the practice of a yogi who has spent six years on the esoteric path. Altea Alchemy was born.
Based in Altea, Costa Blanca, Spain. Teaching and practicing in English. All sessions at your home, a mutually agreed location, or online. Serving the expat and retiree community along the Marina Baixa coast.

"These practices are not a treatment you receive once. They are a discipline you carry for the rest of your life. Altea Alchemy exists to hand you that discipline."

Meet the founderThe Pillars
Ancient Roots
Reiki from Japanese tradition. Yoga from the Himalayas. Ayurveda from India. Tarot from medieval Europe. We honor where these practices come from, with respect and no dilution.
Real Practice
Grounded, authentic work. One person at a time, one session at a time. No spa aesthetics, no spiritual performance.
Marina Baixa Grounding
Rooted in Altea, on the Mediterranean coast. The sea, the stone, the light. This place shapes everything we do. Wellness here is not an escape. It is a return.
The Standard
1 on 1Every session is private, focused, and yours alone.
Founding rate€150 per session for every service. Held for the first 20 clients — then €200 per session.
No dogmaWe draw from Buddhist, Taoist, Vedic, and Western esoteric traditions, but we belong to none. The practice is the point, not the label.
For the long gameOur clients are people in their second half of life: retirees, expats, seekers who finally have time to do the inner work they deferred for decades.
