The first thing most people want to know is the price, and it is the last thing most practitioners publish. Here are ours, in full, plus how to compare any provider's price honestly: what the session includes, what to ask, and what the founding rate means.
In Brief
A private wellness session at Altea Alchemy costs €150 per hour at the founding rate, rising to €200 after the first twenty clients. Fermentation classes are €375 for 2.5 hours with all supplies included, and the six-session Transition Program is €540. The first conversation is always free.
Ask what a private wellness session costs and most providers will tell you to get in touch first. The price arrives after an email exchange, or at the end of a call, which puts you in a conversation before you know what the conversation is worth. We think that is backwards, so here are our prices in full, plus an honest way to compare them against anyone else's.
The Prices, Published
- • All one-to-one services (Reiki, private yoga, tarot, Ayurveda, breathwork, holistic coaching): €150 per hour at the founding rate
- • Fermentation class: €375 for 2.5 hours, all ingredients, jars, and equipment included, for up to six people in your own kitchen
- • The Altea Transition Program: €540 for six sessions across eight weeks, our only package
- • The first conversation: free, about thirty minutes, no obligation
Sessions run at your home across Altea, Albir, Benidorm, Calpe, La Nucía, and Polop, or by video call for every service except the fermentation class, which needs a working kitchen. The same figures appear on the services page; the published price is the whole price for a session in the towns we cover.
Why One-to-One Costs More Than a Class
Group classes spread one teacher across many people, so the price per person drops. A private hour is undivided: the whole session is built around one body, one history, one set of questions. The price also includes things a class fee never covers, like travel to your home, the equipment that arrives with the practitioner, and the preparation before the session and the notes after it.
Whether that trade-off is worth it depends on what you want from it. For a first look at a practice, for work that would never surface in a room of strangers, or for a body that needs the session adapted to it, one-to-one is the point. For a weekly stretch you attend mainly for the company, a local group class is honestly the more economical buy, and we will say so on the call.
How to Compare Any Practitioner's Price Honestly
- • Check whether the number is per hour or per session, and how long a session actually lasts
- • Ask what the price includes: travel, equipment, materials, and the cancellation terms
- • Notice whether prices are published at all; a practitioner who will not put a number on their website is asking you to enquire before you know the cost of enquiring
- • Ask whether a first conversation is free; at this end of the market it should be
- • Weigh credentials you can verify against the price, not adjectives you cannot
The same five checks, plus a few more, are set out in our guide to choosing a holistic practitioner. Transparent pricing is one of them, which is why this page exists.
What the Founding Rate Means
The €150 rate exists because the practice is young: the first twenty clients take a small risk on a practitioner who has not yet accumulated a decade of local reviews, and the founding rate is the honest thank-you for that. Once the twentieth client books, the rate becomes €200 per hour, the number published alongside it from the start. What you will not find here: introductory discounts that quietly expire, package pricing that pressures you into ten sessions upfront, or a different number depending on how the conversation went.
Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a private wellness session cost on the Costa Blanca?
At Altea Alchemy, €150 per hour at the founding rate for all one-to-one services, rising to €200 after the first twenty clients. The fermentation class is €375 for 2.5 hours with supplies included, and the six-session Transition Program is €540. All prices are published on the services page before you ever make contact.
What does a private yoga teacher cost in Spain?
Prices vary by region and by teacher, and many practitioners do not publish them, which is itself worth noticing. At Altea Alchemy a private yoga session is €150 per hour at the founding rate, at your home or online, entirely in English.
Are there extras or hidden costs on top of the session price?
No. The published price is the full price for a session anywhere in the six towns covered: Altea, Albir, Benidorm, Calpe, La Nucía, and Polop. For the fermentation class, all ingredients and materials are inside the €375. The first conversation is free.
Is a private session worth the price compared to a class?
It depends on the goal. For personal work, health-related caution, or a practice built around your body and your schedule, one-to-one is the point of the format. For weekly movement you enjoy mainly for the social side, a local group class is the more economical choice, and an honest practitioner will tell you that.
Every figure on this page is also on the services page, and the booking page shows live availability for the next fourteen days. If you would rather talk it through first, the first conversation costs nothing.
"A price you have to ask for is not really a price, it is a negotiation position. Ours are on the website because the decision to call or not should be yours, not something a sales conversation makes for you."

Ayurveda in Albir: The Town Built for a Dosha Routine
Albir was practically designed for an Ayurvedic daily routine, the flat promenade, the lighthouse walk, the early market. Private consultations in English, in your home, €150. Here is how a dosha practice maps onto this specific town.
Ayurveda in Altea: Your Constitution on the Cobbles
Altea asks more of a body than most retirement towns: cobbled climbs up to the blue-domed church, steps instead of pavements, and a climate your joints notice before you do. Ayurveda reads those signals. In English, in your home, €150.
Ayurveda in Benidorm: Rest in the Coast's Busiest Town
Benidorm runs on neon, density, and year-round momentum. Even retirees on the quiet Poniente side absorb more stimulation than a resting body should. Ayurveda treats broken sleep and erratic energy as constitutional problems with practical fixes. In English, €150.
